Acclaimed rapper Kwesta and renowned dancer Bontle Modiselle-Moloi are set to dazzle on-screen in the highly anticipated Netflix film, Piano Love. The movie, which is set to premiere exclusively on Netflix on August 23, 2024, is a vibrant love story set against the colorful backdrop of Soweto.
In his acting debut, Kwesta steps into the limelight with a role that marks a significant shift from his musical career. The film, produced by Black Brain Pictures, promises to capture the essence of Amapiano culture, blending romance with the rhythmic beats of South Africa’s beloved music genre. The project, described as a labor of love by Mandla Ngcongwane, who financed and sold the film to Netflix, reflects the rich tapestry of South African street culture. “I wanted to create something monumental for our culture,” Ngcongwane shared. “Kwesta's journey from music to acting and Bontle’s acting prowess make this film a celebration of our heritage.”
